OLIVIA JAMPOL

Olivia (she/her) is a director, writer, and actor living in Brooklyn. She grew up on a coffee farm and hotel in Costa Rica and studied filmmaking at Harvard University.

Olivia’s films are provocative and subversive, combining elements of horror, magical realism, psychological thriller, and dark comedy. She explores the depths of desire and obsession through unapologetically complex female protagonists.

Her short film, JEANNIE, shot on 16mm, was acquired for the permanent collection at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MoCAD), and her newest dark comedy short, IFFY, premiered at the Dallas International Film Festival.

Olivia’s feature screenplay, HOMESTALKER, which earned a coveted 8 on The Black List, was called “One of the best things their readers had recently read” and is in the Top 1% of all Thriller Features on Coverfly. Among other accolades, it was a semifinalist for the Black List Features Lab, a quarterfinalist for the Black List Projects Lab, a current semifinalist for the Sundance Development Lab and a semifinalist in two categories at this year’s Austin Film Festival (best Horror Feature and the Enderby Entertainment Award for a project with a unique concept and voice that can be produced for under $10 million).

Olivia is also an AEA/SAG-AFTRA actress, recognized for her strong presence and sharp sense of humor.
